GULF COAST CHAPTER 9

ALAMO CHAPTER 11

COASTAL BEND CHAPTER 12

October’s meeting was deferred, as usual, for the State convention. This year was the cruise to Cozumel, and quite a few members from Chapter 12 attended. It was great to visit with other members from all over the state. Although sometimes it was a bit bumpy, a fun time was had by (almost) all.

November’s meeting was held at The Place to Be, a new venue for us. The food was good, moderately priced, and the service was great. The layout of the room was a little strange, with the staircase coming up through the middle of the room, but it was serviceable. Stacy Lyle gave us a presentation on free and publicly available GIS programs and data.

On December 19, we held our Christmas party at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was well attended, and everyone had a good time.

On December 20, Chapter 12 sponsored a CEU Seminar hosted by Stacey Lyle and featuring Garey Gilley of the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying. The topic was “Survey Challenge: Defending Yourself Against a Board Investigation”. The seminar was quite informative, and received excellent reviews.
