This year's Ray Wisdom Auction, benefiting TSFI scholarships for Texas land surveying students, was held at Richard Moya Park in Austin following the TSPS board meeting. More than $5,000 was collected for students studying for a career in the profession.
Tyler Junior College, in conjunction with the Surveying Education Foundation of Texas (SEFT) and TSPS East Texas Chapter 4, is hosting a Surveying and Mapping Camp June 9-11, 2013. The camp is set up to introduce young people to surveying and mapping activities and career opportunities in the surveying profession.

Toth withdrew his amendment regarding defunding the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying, and Senate Bill 1 passed the House with appropriations to fund the TBPLS. (Read More)

I spoke with State Rep. Toth’s office this morning and was told he has plans to POSSIBLY pull the amendment that defunds the TBPLS. I was told by his staff that he may still bring the amendment to the floor and discuss it but has no plans to proceed with the amendment. (Read More)
