James Steven Slater, age 69, RPLS #3565, of Fort Worth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2012, in Fort Worth. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Steve was born Nov. 28, 1942, in Hudson, Mich. He married Mary Ann in Wichita Falls, on Feb. 6, 1977. He attended the University of Texas at El Paso and graduated in 1970 with a degree in civil engineering.
