What's the intersection where land surveying education meets entertainment and networking? In 2012, it’s beautiful San Marcos, one of Texas’s jewels.
This year’s annual Convention & Tech Expo (Oct. 10-13) will be held in the warm confines of the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel, Spa & Conference Center (Receive TSPS Online Room Reservation Discount Here), but around the host hotel are numerous activities and adventures awaiting convention attendees.
Take Part in On-site and Off-site Special Events!
The variety of special events and activities make the annual convention as much a vacation destination as a education necessity for land surveyors.

Shopping your thing? Check out the Premium Outlets and the Tanger Outlets, with more than 350 shops combined. (Photo courtesy of San Marcos CVB.) Take a glass-bottom river boat ride or a stroll through one of Texas most impressive cave formations, or even step back in time in historic and quaint Gruene, Texas. These are just a few possibilities for convention attendees.
This year's Friday Night Event will take place at Three Dudes Winery, which overlooks the crystal clear waters of the San Marcos River.
Buses will transport attendees to the beautifully manicured grounds for an evening of food, fun and friends. Sample the winery’s offerings while you chow down on award-winning Texas BBQ provided by Black’s Barbecue.
Listen to the soothing sounds of classical guitarist, Ravner Salinas, and partake in some lawn games while your friends look on. There’s sure to be something for everyone in this fun-packed event.
